In the words of American rock group,Staind,"it's been a while", since my last article on Everton-Mad and quite a lot has happened since my last article.
Sean Graham, back from the sun with Everton on a run
I have returned from my family break in the Spanish sun, Alcudia, Majorca-to find the team from the Blue half of Merseyside are still sitting in third place in the table.
Before I went abroad,I did notice that David Moyes was given the Manager of the Month award for the team's performance's during the month and their great start to the season, this is well deserved, well done David!
As I said I have been away but as I touched down in Spain I was given the news by my trusted friend Andy that Everton had beaten Southampton 1-0 with a goal from Leon Osman,in a match that will be remembered for the result and for the respects by all fans to Ken Bigley a life long Evertonian.
The club travelled to Carrow Road to take on Norwich City in an entertaining and hard fought match with the Toffee's coming out with a 3-2 victory with goals from Kevin Kilbane, Marcus Bent and Big Duncan getting the winner!
Then came the sing song in the bath with an old tune not heard down Goodison way for some time, "We are gonna win the League". Some might say that it's a bit tongue and cheek but with everything that the club has gone through in recent times it is good to keep morale at an all time high at the expense of the experts!
The Everton cause was further helped on Sunday with Manchester United coming out on top in the battle of Old Trafford winning 2-0 with goals from big Ruud and wee Wayne ending the Gunners unbeaten run and making it 49 matches undefeated. Then the fun in the tunnel started-Food fight!
"Pizza for Fergie" when I heard that their was soup thrown I thought their could have been only two players involved, Campbell or Heinz (Editors note - this is actually the funniest joke sean has ever had in a column, so make the most of it).
On Wednesday the Carling Cup took centre stage when David Moyes took on his old mate and old club when Billy Davies brought has Preston side to Goodison Park. Goals from Lee Carsley and Marcus Bent saw off Preston
and gave Everton the chance to play Champions Arsenal at Highbury in the next round,in what should be a very difficult match. Only sour note being the red card for Lee Carsley, the way he has been playing of late you can say that he will be missed.

If we keep up this winning habit, will the Chief Executive have to change his name to Keith "sign us" if the phone keeps going with all these players wanting to sign for us.
