Ferguson set for September return.

Ferguson has started only 26 games in two years.
"I don't see the problem as threatening his career at all," said Moyes.

"The injection he had is working but we've got to wait until he gets back training and playing for real before we can say for sure.

"The problem was a worry but it was nothing more than an injury we are looking to cure."

Ferguson will be leading the line for the Blues once he returns. David Moyes is unlikely to consider Kevin Campbell as a regular starter, a view that was reinforced by his decision to make David Weir the team captain in Ferguson's absence.

Ferguson has resumed light training but Everton are not going to rush, so it will be September at the earliest before he returns.
