Girls on top

A hat-trick from Natasha Dowie, no relation to Iain by the looks of things, in the last five minutes sealed the points for Everton and ensured they are in pole position for the title ahead of Sunday's decider with Arsenal.

A frustrating game looked like it was going to end all square until Dowie managed to bundle the ball home from close range in the 86th minute.

Dowie then doubled Everton's lead with a left foot strike and completed her hat-trick - a proper right foot, left foot, header hat-trick at that - in the final minute with a powerful header past Doncaster's 'keeper.

That means that Everton need only to avoid defeat against Arsenal on Sunday to take the title away from the Gunners for the first time in six years.

The game kicks off at 2pm on Sunday 10th May - that's this Sunday - and takes place at the Halton Stadium in Widnes, not Marine's Rrossett Park Stadium in Crosby as previously reported...sorry about that!

Tickets are just £3 for adults and £1 for children and it's pay on the gate.

And, if any Nuts or Loaded readers out there are still in two minds about going, this picture of, hat-trick hero, Natahsa Dowie getting her kit ripped off should persuade you!
