Norwegians would!

The Blues have taken maximum points against both Osijek and Levadia but have a goal difference of nine in comparison to Strommen's tally of plus fourteen!

Everton Ladies opened the tournament with a 3-1 win over host team Osijek, despite trainling for much of the match.

Osijek took the lead in the sixth minute when Dusanka Juko fired past Everton's Rachel Brown.

It then looked like it might not have been Everton's day as the usually ever-dependable Fara Williams missed a spot kick in the 36th minute.

But Everton managed to pull things level when Toni Duggan, a 16th minute substitute for Karen Boyle, put one past Hajnalka Sipos in the Osijek goal.

The Blue Belles then took the lead five minutes later through an own goal from Osijek defender Vanessa Zlosa and the win was sealed by Fara Williams in the 75th minute.

So it was a good openeing result against potentially tricky opposition.

The only problem was that Strommen then went on to beat Levadia 5-0 on the same day so topped the group.

Levadia were next up for Everton and the Blues duly saw them off courtesy of a 7-0 hammering!

Fara Williams was on the scoresheet again but the star of the show in this match was Jill Scott.

The Everton midfielder netted a hat-trick whilst Natasha Dowie, back from injury, scored two and Emily Westwood completed the rout with a goal in the 78th minute.

Unfortunately, at this point, Strommen were busy sticking nine past Osijek without reply.

So it's nicely poised for a cracker of a match on Tuesday as Everton face Strommen for a place in the Champions League knockout stages.

Come on you Blue girls!
