Morning reports are that Everton are looking at signing Dinamo Zagreb striker Mario Mandzukic.
However, there appears to still be a long way to go on this deal as nowhere do the stories suggest that Everton are 'poised' and nor do they mention anything about a possible 'swoop'.
By way of backing up the claims that we're after Mandzukic it's thought that David Moyes sent a team of scouts to Dinamo's goalless draw with Hadjuk Split in the first leg of the Nogometni Cup semi-finals.
Presumably this was to give the scouts the last of their proficiency badges - the 'watch-a-young-eastern-European-striker-in-a-strange-sounding-cup-match' is thought to be one of the most difficult to attain!
Mandzukic has scored 87 goals in a 186-game career and is said to be attracting attention from a number of other Premier League clubs, notably Arsenal and...wait for it...Tottenham!
