Everton have officially finalised their initial piece of incoming summer business after completing the permanent transfer of midfielder Hayden Hackney from Championship outfit Middlesbrough.
The Toffees moved rapidly to conclude negotiations with their North East counterparts, locking the talented 24-year-old playmaker into a long-term contract at Goodison Park.
Hackney will report for physical screening sessions next week to begin integration before pre-season training camp launches.
The board is prepared to back Moyes with moderate funding to secure further defensive reinforcements before the trading window shuts in September.
