Comment: Lets hope for a Blue Do!

After our last match playing against Champions Arsenal and the officials, you would think that this weekend's match
would be one that we would be looking forward to but after seeing who the fourth official is I fear the worse!

Yes you've guessed it the Wiley old fox is back again much to our disgust! Now we know we have to play twice as hard as normal! It was always going to be a hard match in any case as Newcastle are chasing for the Championship and a place in the Champions League and the Magpies are flying at the moment and I can't help but thinking that we still owe them one from that 6-2 drubbing not so long ago!

I know I keep going on about this but it would be great for the club to keep up their push for Europe as I think if one team in the Premiership deserve European Football, then it is David Moyes' Everton.

A few bits of really good news for the club this week.Firstly the big news that the club has raised the £155 million needed to build their new home at the King's Waterfront. This would be great for the Manager, the team and the fans although I am sure that we will all bad sad to leave Goodison as it has had many great matches and many happy memories for Evertonians all over the world.

More good news for Everton is the fact that Big Dunc is on the way back from injury after a long lay off, which is just as well as the injury to Tomasz Radzinski has come at a bad time for the
club.

With the Internationals in mid-week and at the weekend,Everton have had players playing all over the world. Gary Naysmith had a decent match v Iceland.Gravesen scored for Denmark on Saturday but the big news on Wednesday was not Scotland losing to a dodgy penalty but young Wayne starting his first full England match, well done young man !

I hope you do well as the whole country seems to think you can beat Turkey on your own or should that be with Becks and Owen !
Before I sign off from this shorter than normal column,I would like to thank a few people for giving me a happy birthday last Sunday. My Mum and Dad,all the inlaws,my aunts, uncles and cousin's who
have travelled far and wide, from Kilmarnock to Canada, the Lads from Liverpool-who had a great time at the Everton night and sent me a book -100 years of Everton and 30 autograph's on the menu !

Thanks lads much appreciated ! And last but by no means least my two girls,Tracey my wife and Catherine my daughter, who gave me great presents and just spending time with them instead of shuttling
all over the Country meant a lot to me,that was excellent! -Thank you all !

Also thanks to Laura in the Everton shop for her help and speedy replies, very helpful . Take care,God Bless all and special thoughts for people in Iraq and surrounding area's,this week it is not just come on you Blues it is Give Peace a Chance!
