Dancing on the ceiling....

A goal from Lee Carsley gave Everton a 1-0 victory over rivals Liverpool in Saturday's 200th Merseyside derby, proving that along with Steve Brookstein they too have the X Factor!

Carsley strikes the winner for Everton
When you look at the table this week will see that the blues sit proudly in second place thanks to the win over Liverpool. With the result between Arsenal and Chelsea ending in a draw (followed by Man United and Liverpool also dropping points)! Can you believe it ? Just how good does it feel. Not just beating Liverpool but sitting second in the league after all that has happened at the club over the summer,David Moyes, the players,Bill Kenwright,Keith
Wyness and all at Everton Football Club deserve credit for the position that the club finds itself in at this present time. I know that it may not last forever but lets enjoy it while we can!

Saturday meant a hell of a lot to all Evertonians and I was no different,I could not wait to phone Andy to get his take on the result and grab a taste of the atmosphere in the Blue half of the city, and it was good I can tell you. I have been walking about with my Everton scarf and hat on all weekend such is my pride for the club, I normally wear my hat going to work but in Glasgow you could get mistaken for a Rangers fan (Can't have that - ed) ,so people see the Hat and look twice at it,I normally get " you don't get many of them up here !" but now that Everton are on the way back, fingers crossed, you will see plenty more Everton hats and kids asking their Mum's and Dad's for the kit for Christmas.

We may not have the Rooney factor any more but we do have the X factor and we are of course the people's club in Liverpool!

We must build on Saturday's win with a tough trip to Blackburn under former favourite Mark Hughes(Sparky to his team mates) at Ewood Park,be under no illusions this will be a difficult match, from now on everyone will want to beat
Everton, they are a top two side!

This has been a fantastic weekend for me seeing Catherine's first dancing display then Watching the match and doing some dancing of my own as the goal then final whistle blew (Nice image -Ed), as Lionel Richie said, I was "Dancing on the ceiling" it was the best six pounds that I have ever spent, thanks Sky pay per view!

Everton at the moment are on the crest of a wave but With David Moyes our club could go "higher and higher ",(this X factor stuff is now getting a hold of me) but we must keep our feet on the ground and with David Moyes in charge he will make sure that we do !!!

To all Evertonians enjoy your week to the very max! Take care!

Post note to the Arsenal v Chelsea match nice to hear John Terry give Everton praise after the Arsenal match, he has gone up in my estimations after that!
