Peter Pan is the answer.

After the nightmare that was Newcastle, and no-so-good Friday, thank God I was not saying,(as I often do before I go to work ) I don't like Mondays ! It was more of a happy Monday for me as the club gave me a win as a belated birthday present, cheers lads.

I have only just seen the highlights of the match, watched it with my Dad,and we thought the lads played quite well and looked up for the fight. The incident concerning Big Dunc was brewing and the big man knows himself he was stupid and he will miss three games because of this also he is a couple of pounds lighter in the wallet ! It was a shame because Dunc has been doing well since his comeback, looking back to his old-self so he will be annoyed more than anyone else about his moment of madness, but hey we all have them ! I was really impressed with the performance on Monday after the nightmare on Friday. All the players played for the jersey, this time, and I must say what a reaction by Jesper Blomqvist when he was subbed as the blues led 2-1 !

This shows the man is committed to the cause and he was having a good game but the Boss gave him a talking to as he made his way into the dugout. This shows that David Moyes will not take any nonsense from anyone and he is not a man to be crossed, this is a good thing we need this in a manager,a strong character who can deal with players when things go wrong but who will also be there when they need a pat on the back. I felt that apart from his miss ,Tomasz Radzinski ran his socks off for the club and I was glad when he got his well deserved goal, also Steve Simonsen had a couple of great saves at crucial times in the match that I would have been proud of. This weekend sees the Blues go to the capital for a game against the Superstars of Chelsea.

Again I hope we have learned our lesson from the Newcastle game and we don't end up on the end of a hammering,I don't think we will,a draw would do us nicely. Although Chelsea blow hot and cold so if we could get a win that may see us safe once and for all. There is a mixed bag of news concerning injuries at the club. Both Gary Naysmith and Tony Hibbert are out for the rest of the season which is a blow for the club and the players,we hope the lads get back to full fitness for next season but in the meantime get your voices behind the lads in their remaining matches this season.

Kevin Campbell is still having problems with his hamstring so he will miss the trip to Chelsea, but on a brighter note Mark Pembridge played in a match V Bolton reserves (L 2-1 ) to complete his comeback from injury. He played alongside other first-team players such as Gerrard,Cleland,Linderoth and Moore, nice to see Mark back in action again. Now some good news for the Everton youth team, they have reached the final of the FA Youth cup after beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at White Hart Lane to give them a 4-2 aggregate win,Wayne Rooney scored both the goals in that win.

Congratulations to Colin Harvey and the boys and hopefully some silverware will make it's way to Goodison before the end of the season. The other news concerning Everton is the rumours that David Weir is wanted by Manchester United and Scott Gemmill is considering quitting the International scene. The David Weir story is one of great concern as he has been a rock at the back for Everton and just gets better and better with each game he plays so I would not like to see this man leave Goodison Park.

The Scott Gemmill decision is one that would have to be made by the player himself,no-one can tell him what he should or shouldn't do. One of our daily papers is running a story that David Moyes is not amused at Berti Vogts asking David Weir to play the full 90 minutes V France and this is something I have covered before.I totally agree with the Manager here Scotland were 4-0 down at half-time ,was David going to go goal crazy in the second half and lead Scotland to a 5-4 win ? I think not !! Come on Berti give players a rest when needed ! I am looking into some reports that the club are interested in some new players, when I find out who I will let you know .

I was doing some scouting on Monday myself . My wife and I took our Daughter to see Peter Pan,this boy could be the answer to all our prayers. He can fly down the wings, jump up higher than anyone else for those cross balls and he is always saving things and he doesn't age...do you think he could be one for the future Mr Moyes or Mr Harvey ? Come on the Greys-on Saturday ....!
