Radz my boy!

Everton have moved into fourth place in the table after two undefeated matches in the past two weeks.

They came from a goal behind at home to Southampton two take all three points with two goals from Man of the Match Tomasz Radzinski, the second goal in particular was an absolute cracker into the top corner of the net. Tomasz has been in terrific form of late and deserved his two goals v Southampton, he ran his socks off all day for the cause and was worthy of his award and goals.
After winning the home match, Everton moved on to take a point away from the Riverside. The Blues had taken the lead after a great run and cross from Tomasz Radzinski was played to Steve Watson who scored from close range. Things were looking good for the Blues until Boro decided to make a change and bring on a little touch of Brazilian magic called Juninho. The little Brazilian lost his marker and lid in a cross from fellow Sub Maccarone to draw his side level.

But Everton had ideas of their own and their very own superstar,Wayne Rooney came off the bench and nearly won the match for the Blues indeed he would have if it had not been for a timely tackle from Gareth Southgate. But still a valuable point away from home and the Blues continue to keep alive their dream of Europe next season, Champions League or UEFA Cup, we can only wait and see ....!

If anyone takes an interest in Scottish Football, you could not fail to notice that since going out of the Champions League,David Moyes' old club, Celtic have gone on a superb run in the UEFA cup knocking out some big names like, Blackburn, Celta Vigo and Stuttgart on the way to another Battle of Britain with Liverpool on the 13th March ! These nights are special and have given Celtic a big boost since teams up in Scotland are normally out of Europe by Christmas, apart from Rangers last season and Celtic this season!

If Everton could qualify for Europe this season then it would give the club a much need boost, it has been away for far too long and any monies the club could generate would help David Moyes get in some new fresh faces for another assault on the Premiership and domestic trophies next season. It may also have saved our King's Waterfront project that now looks doomed ! Just a couple of things to say before I sign off I hope that both Big Dunc and Rodrigo both win their fitness battles and it is not too long before we see them in a Blue shirt soon. Thanks to Tommy B and Adam for all the laughs and drink following their visit up to Scotland for the Republic of Ireland match.

We had a good night and John and Stevie said they slept like Angels after the amount of drink that was consumed ! No what I am saying !!! Thanks to Andrew for my continued supply of Everton programmes and Evertonians much appreciated, and thanks to Tommy S ....just for being himself.

Take Care and Come On You Blues !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
