Sean Graham on Moyes & the Boys

Last updated : 07 May 2004 By Sean Graham
Well after a season with far too many lows to mention, and results not
going our way in recent times maybe the last two games of the season will give the Everton fans something to cheer about, then again maybe not!

One last home match with Bolton and one away to Manchester City are the last two fixture's of a season that most Everton fans would rather forget. It just hasn't gone our way with injuries, poor form and the loss of Wayne and others through suspensions that have left the Manager with little or no option this season, lets hope the promise of more money or at least some money, for the Manager to spend during the summer month's will see David Moyes get the best out of an Everton squad that has sadly, in Joseph Yobo's opinion and mine too, let him and all the supporters down.
I think that last weeks match with Wolves when Leon Osman scored so
early on everyone would have expected Everton to go on and win the match but this is Everton things like that don't happen too often, put it down to this is not our year!

But hey it could be worse we could be facing life in the first division like the three clubs that have went down to play their football in a lower division so ask yourself would you rather be an Evertonian or a Leeds fan? (The sight of how all the Leeds fans on the news should make us all realize how lucky we have been this season - ed).

Leeds are now facing the prospect of having to sell their best assets and try and rebuild their team for next season in the first division whilst others who have been down in that division for a long time and have been past winners of European trophies, Forest and Ipswich have struggled to get back at the first time of asking, ask yourself could you cope with that pre-season?

What we have to do is clear the decks after the City match, sure we would like to win both matches they will both be hard matches and thank God we did not have to win both to stay up! But Moyseie must be given time and money to rebuild this club please can Someone give him money !!!!!!
