Snow Joke, Europe is a possibility!

After the Shrewsbury Shocker, the Blues have put together a decent run of form that has them sitting 5th in the table, or joint 4th with Chelsea if you want to look at it that way ! The results this season have been really positive since
the Cup exit and that must really be encouraging for David Moyes and the rest of the staff at Goodison Park. It could and would have been so easy for the heads to go down and let standards and performances slip after going out
of the F.A.Cup at such an early stage but to their credit the team have given the supporters something to shout about and the possibility of getting themselves ready for Europe again is giving the fans and the team something
to aim for in what would be a great achievement in their 100 year in top flight football. It would be a great way for David Moyes and the rest of the team to celebrate this achivement,no matter what competition,UEFA or Champions League the club are well over due this and it would be gratefully received by players, fans and Chairman alike.

Everton have been in the top half of the table for the best part of the season now and have been the surprise of the season in my book. How can a team, who normally spend their entire season fighting off relegation,be challenging for a European place in such a short space of time ? Luck ? na, Good Fortune ? maybe, Good Management and team spirit and belief? Definitely !!! This team, indeed this squad have achieved minor miracles with a few hitches along the way. They are by no means the finished article, not by a long shot, but the 11 guys that pull on that Blue shirt are the best that I've seen at Goodison for a long time ! This squad has something special about it,you get the feeling that if Europe came calling these guys would sit up and take notice, indeed maybe some of the teams in Europe would take notice of what's been missing for too long! Just imagine the Z-Cars tune followed by the Champions League music at Goodison !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it too good to be true?
Ever since losing 4-3 to Spurs in the live ppv cracker at White Hart Lane, the Blues have gone on a three match unbeaten run beating Sunderland 2-1,McBride 2,Bolton 2-1,Watson 2,I cracker of an overhead kick which had to be seen to be believed, and Leeds 2-0,Unsworth,Radzinski with the goals in that match. As I said earlier such good form has taken the club to 5th in the table and safety assured. But our next three fixtures could prove to be really tricky. We have Charlton,Southampton, and Middlesbrough and two of those matches are away from home so we might be hard pushed to pick up all nine points but anything that we take on the road will be a bonus to the club as will the Return of Boy Wonder Wayne Rooney. It says a lot for the team that they got results when the youngster was absent from the team, you see we are not a one man team afterall !!!!! It will be great for David Moyes and all Evertonians to see Wayne again in a Blue shirt, you owe us a few goals young man between now and the end of the season to help the club in their push for Europe, then you and the rest of us can look out our passports.
