The fund raiser has been arranged as part of Heritage Week and will see a team of ex-Everton professionals take on a team of ex-Liverpool professionals.
The Blues will be captained by Graham Stuart and the Kopites will be led by Alan Kennedy and both teams will be joined by special guest celebrities.
Lord Grantchester and Tony Tighe (unfortunately not him off the Frosties adverts) will also be in attendance in their capacityof trustees of the charity aiming to buy the Collection.
In addition to the football match, the evening will also feature a quiz, table football, table hockey, arm wrestling (?!), yard of ale and a karaoke competition.
Rumours that Craig Bellamey will be attending are, as yet, unsubstantiated so there should be no corporal punishment for people not really wanting to get up and sing.
The evening will be held at The Maghull Community Association, Whitehouse Farm, Green Lane, Maghull. Liverpool L31 2JH and, unfortunately, no children are allowed to the event.
Tickets are on sale now priced £15 and can be obtained, on a first come first served basis, from the venue or by calling 0151 526 2848.
All proceeds will go towards obtaining the David France Collection.
