Blomqvist blasts Swedish national side.

He said: "I'm not happy about it at all. I got to hear on Thursday morning on my answering machine and that's not a funny way to learn. I then waited throughout Friday in the hope they would call again, as they said they would, but they never did."

He added: "All coaches can't like you as a player but it's a question of respect."
And Blomqvist is now hoping he is in David Moyes's thoughts.

The fact that he will be at home this summer will work in Everton's favour. Had he been showcased on the world stage, some other club would almost certainly have snatched him from us. As it is, he may just stay for a while.

"There are a few other clubs who have been in touch, but I am not opposed to staying at Everton. I have talked to new manager David Moyes, but he has not told me about the future yet," he added on the club's officia website.
