Regualar readers will remember that last season, i used such phrases as "Waste of space" and "Overpaid fairy" to describe Mr Campbell. Well, i'm sorry. allow me to eat as much humble pie as you desire, o great one.

No, really, Kevin Campbell deserves everything he getsin the way of praise, his attitude, fitness and work rate have improved 100%, and good on him for putting the effort in.

It's not just me either, Mr Moyes is also impressed, saying "I am pleased for anyone who scores goals, but Kevin has not missed a day's training since we started back pre-season and he's put the work in and you tend to get the rewards if you work hard. Kevin is doing great this season, he's regained his confidence. I'm delighted for him because a lot of his problems stemmed from injuries and fighting those injuries did get him down.

"You have to put in more training the older you get. It is so important not to ease up on training as you get older.

"Players love to get out there and play but whether we like it or not all our careers come to an end around the mid-30s and you want to be remembered for being a good footballer. If Kevin can stay injury free and continues with the training he will continue to benefit."
