Back to the point of the article and the date has been set for Everton's quarter final showdown against either Middlesbrough or West Brom.


The date for your diary is Sunday 8th March, the kick off time 4pm and it's all going to be shown live on 'that Setanta'…they just love us don't they?!


The last time we played in an FA Cup quarter final was also on a Sunday (March 10th 2002 to be precise) and it was also against Middlesbrough.

But no one will want to see a repeat of that horror show which saw us go down 0-3 at the Riverside when three goals in seven first half minutes saw the end of our FA Cup dreams and Walter Smith's reign as Everton manager.




























The team line-up that day was as follows: Simonsen, Clarke, Weir, Unsworth, Pistone, Stubbs, Linderoth, Gascgoine, Gemmill, Moore, Radzinski with substitute appearances from Alexandersson, Blomqvist and Chadwick.
