Liverpool and Everton are both using this week's home games to support the campaign, and the people behind the campaign have something special planned for Goodison.

The aim is to get another 10,000 people to sign the petition supporting the bid this week, so that the 100,000th signing can take place on the pitch at Goodison.

Everton manager Dave Moyes said: "The people of Liverpool are not only passionate about their football, but they have a unique pride in the city. Everyone at Everton is happy to support the city's Capital of Culture bid."

So, if you're at the game on Saturday, or indeed if your a kopite reading my lovely website, sign the petition.
