Everton launch Unsworth appeal.

Unsworth told Everton's website: "I just intercepted the ball whilst Gronkjaer was pulling me back.

"I tried to hold him off and we were both bundled over. As it happened, I went over the top of him. I got up first and held him down and that was it.

"Then the melee kicked off and he stayed on the floor. The referee said that he sent me off for punching him in the face," said Unsworth.

However, video evidence clearly shows that no punches were thrown by either player.

Referee Eddie Wolstenholme has not yet files his match report for the game, and the FA have to await that before they can consider the appeal.
