Everton looking to raise Carrick bid

Everton are considering increasing their offer for West Ham midfielder Micheal Carrick. The top quality player (I am a BIG fan) is rated at £3.5m by the Hammers, despite having only 10 months to run on a contract. Everton had a previous bid of £2.5m rejected.

The sale has opened up for Everton after Arsenal pulled out of a possible deal for the player.

West Ham Boss Alan Pardew said: "The situation is simple with Michael. Arsenal came in and fell away, but he still has at least five clubs he can go to. The decision will come down to Michael. I didn't think it was fair for him or the club to play him tonight, so we rested him again."
