Last updated : 23 August 2004 By Austin Rathe
Rumours originally stated that the source of the club's new investment was Boris Zingarevich. However, these reports were denied by the club. However, it now appears (accoridng to the BBC at least) that the money is coming from his son, Anton.

Anton owns the Brunei based Fortress Sports Fund, which would be used as the vehicle for the investment.

Everton chairman Bill Kenwright said: "Anton is terrific. He's got an encyclopaedic football knowledge. It is the ambition of myself and the sports fund to return Everton to its former glory"

More news as we get it, an announcment is expected today.
