Ferrari insists he wants to stay

Italian Stallion Matteo Ferrari has insisted that we wants to stay at Everton after his loan deal completes.

He said: "First of all I would like to under line the fact that it is not true what has been said on the radio and internet a couple of weeks ago about me not being happy here. Someone who claimed to be my agent said that. It's good here, very good. I spoke with the manager and I told him that I would be happy to stay here. I would like to prove myself in the Premiership. It is very stimulating to be in a different league and trying new things.

"But obviously because I am on loan here, it is not up to me what will happen. I will continue to give 100 per cent for Everton and help us finish as high as possible. At the end of the season, we will have a meeting."

Ferrari has proved to be a real asset recently, keeping David Weir out of the side, and is it an conincidence that Everton's recent good form has come with Ferrari in the team, and Weir out of it?
