Get Duffy

Yobo will miss tonight's game with the hamstring injury that forced him to be substituted towards the end of Sunday's defeat to the Shite and it has now emerged that Distin could be absent with a smiliar injury.
With the recent glut of knee injuries and now this hamstring epidemic it looks like Finch Farm must be the only place where you can actually catch an injury off someone else!
The Blues will also be without Lucas Neill and John Heitinga, who will remain inelligable until the group stage is over, and so it could be left to Tony Hibbert to, once again, provide cover at centre half along with a younger member of the squad.
Northern Ireland under-21 international Shane Duffy - who wouldn't look out of place sat next to Feargal Sharkey on the cover of the Undertones first album - may get the nod or David Moyes may opt to go with German teenager Shkodran Mustafi, either way it has the potential for a very nervous backline.
The only crumb of comfort is that when we played AEK at Goodison it was one of the most routine wins the blues have ever had in Europe.
But it's doubtful that tonight's match at the Olympic Stadium will be quite as straightforward!

And, with Jack Rodwell still absent with a groin strain and Phil Neville having gone quiet after being hopeful of making the Man United game nearly two weeks ago, Hibbert may be paired up at the heart of the defence with a younger member of the squad.

UNDERTONES
