Injuries

Jospeh Yobo and Leon Osman have now been added to Everton's list of casualties after both were injured during last night's goalless draw with Chelsea.

Yobo was taken off with a hamstring strain, this season's broken metatarsal, on 61 minutes and the extent of that injury is still unknown.

The only consolation is that defence is one area where the Blues do have adequate cover and, should Yobo miss any mathces then this should give Leighton Baines the run in the team he badly needs.

Segundo Castillo looks like he's going to be another of those players with hamstrings tighter than Kenwright's purse strings as he missed last night's match through a hamstring strain picked up in training.

Phil Neville did well filling in for the Ecuadorian international and, though this can by no means be considered a long-term option, it may be one the Blues have to persevere with going into the new year.

Leon Osman is another player that is doubtful for the Christmas fixtures as he's still not been able to retrieve his lower leg from the Gwladys Street after John Terry's mad tackle on him.

Although Osman went on to play the full match his ankle is badly bruised and he may not make Friday's trip to Middlesbrough.

And there's still no news on our injured strikers!

But we have been linked with a move for Leroy Lita in January, a transfer rumour to be filed under 'feasible but improbable'...in fact that highlights just how bad Everton's plight is right now, even the transfer rumours are rubbish!
