"I know I have a lot to prove to some Everton fans but the best way I can do that is by helping the club move forward," said Jeffers as he was paraded with his new number 11 shirt "Hopefully they will be able to see that I am fully committed and I just want to get my head down and start playing football again. That way, maybe I can sign a permanent deal at the end of the season.
"What happened before is in the past now and I don't want to dwell on it. I'm looking forward to helping Everton win something.
