Everton completed the £5m deal to bring the strong centre half to Goodison from Udinese earlier this week, bringing our pre-season spending to £8.5m.

"I always thought English football was interesting," the 25-year-old told Sky Sports. “It is very entertaining to watch and there are a lot of big stars playing here so it is a big challenge for me. The crowds are very special and I am looking forward to it. The club has a lot of ambition and wants to do well in the future."

Our old mate Thomas Gravesen, an international team mate of Kroldrup reccomended that he join Everton. And for once Graeme Souness resisted the temptation to get Freddy Sheppard's cheque book out to offer yet another £65,000 per week deal.
