Moyes confirms interest in Thompson

Moyes said: "We are not hiding the fact that we are looking to bring in some new players but with the financial situation as it is, we will have to look shrewdly and buy very wisely.

"David Thompson is one of a number of players we are keeping an eye on but nothing concrete is happening.

"There have been a lot of names mentioned but no enquiries have been made as yet."

Former Liverpool plaer Thompson would enjoy a return to Merseyside, and with the sky blues being upto thier eyeballs in debt, its hard to see them rejecting any sort of reasonable offer.
