Moyes receives the dreaded vote of confidence

Ok, maybe not, the vultures aren't that close, and we aren't ask fickle or indeed stupid as your average Newcastle United fan.

Keith Wyness is the man to jump to David's side, saying “There’s no doubt in my mind that David is the man to lead Everton. We have enjoyed our greatest period of success for over 15 years with David Moyes and we are trying to achieve that on a consistent basis. We are aware it is not the best of starts but David will come through it. He has exactly the right type of character and personality. David has shown he can deliver and this is nothing more than a blip. In terms of the bigger picture we are very focused and David is doing a great job. The fact is we finished fourth last season, which, if you look at it in terms of points per pounds or any measure like that, was more of an achievement than Chelsea winning the title."

Whilst the media semm prety hyped about the whole thing, the feeling from Evrtonians (at leats the one's around me!) is surprisingly relaxed. We've been through this so many times before it's almost an instinct.

Besides, 2-0 down at half time to Wimbledon in 1994, now that was a crisis.
