"Bill [Kenwright] has been terrific in his support and is desperate to see Everton do well," Moyes told the club's official website. "A big thank you to him and everybody else because it’s been a difficult time for him as well. The players have been really strong and so have the people behind the scenes on and off the field, as have all the directors. In fact, I'd like to say ‘thank you’ to all the people around me."
This is obviously very good news for Everton fans. I have a feeling that given the team's results so far this season, David Moyes won't actually have been as upset to see Wayne Rooney sold as he might have appeared, given that he will now have a fair chunk of cash to spend.
