Moyes says champions league dream is over

David Moyes has said that Everton's dream of getting into the champions league is over. No Kidding.

When asked if the Champion's Leage was now out of reach, Moyes said 'Yes, it is. We've given it a go and tried to hang in there. But for us to finish above Manchester United, Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool or Chelsea would have been some going. Let's be fair as my squad has competed with so-called bigger clubs who have spent a lot of money. So you've got to give our players credit for competing with them. I think we've done very well.

'My players should be very proud of what they've achieved so far. They've been smashing. We've been in the top six for most of the season and, with three games left, we're trying to get a European spot (in the UEFA Cup). It's a big ask but we have to try and do that.'

He's right, the players should be proud. But they should no be prund of the last two games. If we had put half a move together all afternoon we would have beaten Liverpool, it was only the fact that we were ever so slightly more shite than they were that gave them the victory.
