Moyes set to close in on Dunn

It is looking more and more likely that Everton are set to break the bank and sign David Dunn. Blackburn have no made it clear that they expect the player to leave, and it is thought that a £5m bid, which would represent most of Moyes' transfer fund, would be enough to sign the yound midfielder.

There is also talk of Thomas Gravesen moveing in the opposite direction. The Danish midfielder has annoyed Moyes on a number of occasions this season with inconsistant performances and a hot temper.

Also on the midfield front, Everton are being linked to two other players. The firts is Sheffield United based Micheal Brown. The attacking midfielder, who scored 22 times last season, has refused to sign a new contract with The Blades and has just one year to run on his current deal.

The second player is Ghana international Mickael Essien. However, Moyes will, at most be able to afford Brown plus one other, so it looks unlikely that Essien will be playing for us next year.
