Neville to help with Under-21s

The news was confirmed on Twitter on Thursday evening, with Neville's Everton team-mate Tim Cahill passing on his congratulations.

It has been a long-cherished ambition of the Football Association to get players approaching the end of their careers more involved with coaching at a senior level.

And, with normal Under-21 boss Stuart Pearce taking charge of the senior squad for the Wembley friendly against Holland, it has provided the perfect opportunity to expose Neville to some work within the national framework.
