Rooney signs for Man United

Manchester United have signed Wayne Rooney for a record fee of £27m.

Everton will recieve £10m immediatly, a further £13m by August 1st 2005 and the other £7m is depending upon appearances by Rooney for United and England in the coming years. Rooney has signed a six year contract with the Manchester club.

It is not yet known if Everton will actually be able to spend any of the money before the transfer deadline. As I write this is is just before 8pm and nothing has been announced. If they haven't got a good replacement lined up it's a f**king disgrace. Sorry about that, feel much better now.

In total, Rooney player for Everton 67 times, scoring 15 goals. Hopefully history will shine brightly on the club that produced this talent for the English game, and hopefully one day he will come to recognise how much Everton have done for him, something he seems to be completely unaware of at the moment.

Anyone else hoping Man United have another crap season? Yea, me too.
