Stadium project faces one year delay

The projects promoters have decided to submit a detailed planning permission application, as opposed to the slightly more basic one currently planned. This will reduce the chance of a public inquiry into the new ground, possibly saving us two years. However, because the decision was delayed until now, submitting the detailed application will take an extra six months, meaning in will be season 2006/2007 before Everton get to kick a ball at the new Kings Dock ground, assuming the application is approved that is !
