Ferguson is curently injured, but both he and Campbell would be considered above Weir for the job, or so you would think. However, whilst this by no means suggests that both strikers won't play, it does suggest that niether is considered an automatic first choice anymore. How much this has to do with a certain Mr Rooney (and Mr Chadwick) is open to debate.

Ferguson will be out for about another month or so with various issues.

According to David Moyes: "Duncan has had an injection now. He has to rest for a week to ten days but we feel as though we've hit the right spot and we'll find out the symptoms that have been causing him trouble.

"But Duncan will need to be involved in training games and reserve team

Campbell is not expected to be a regular.

"He was involved in a lot of pre-season work before the problem flared up so we are hoping he's got that fitness in the bank.

"But no-one will go straight into the team here unless they are in the right condition. I want them all to be fit."
