Wright off to see a specialist

25 year old Wright, who has played just 4 games this season, will go to see Dr Richard Steadman later this week.

"Richard underwent an MRI scan on Monday, which gives us a clearer and more dynamic picture of how his knee is reacting when it moves," said Everton physio Mick Rathbone.

"The scan seemed to show that the knee was functioning normally and there's nothing significantly wrong with the joint itself. But we're looking forward to meeting Dr Steadman on Wednesday, as he is one of the world's most eminent knee specialists, and we're confident he'll be able to get to the bottom of the problem."

Wright only has problems when kicking the ball, so he has been training with the squad and is match fit.
