International performance football brand uhlsport has made its second Premiership signing in a week with the addition of Everton and England goalkeeper Richard Wright.

The 26-year old former Ipswich man, who joins West Bromwich Albion’s Russell Hoult as uhlsport’s most recent addition, will wear the German company’s performance products throughout Everton’s Premiership, FA Cup and Carling Cup campaigns.

uhlsport UK Brand Manager David Sanderson commented: “We think Richard is a goalkeeper of immense natural talent who has the ability to return to the very top of the English and International game. As Richard embarks on this exciting phase of his career we are delight that he has put his faith in uhlsport’s products. Similarly, with over 50 years producing gloves for the likes of Zenga, Zoff, Shilton, Flowers and more recently Cudicini, Niemi, Toldo and Canizares, we’d like to think Richard is, quite literally, in the safest hands.”

Wright will wear and endorse uhlsport’s Aquasoft Ergonomic glove. Specifically designed to meet the climatic demands of Northern European goalkeepers, the Aquasoft Ergonomic is constructed from Aquasoft latex which offers 40% better gripping qualities in the wet. The Aquasoft Ergonomic features uhlsport’s Ergonomic Cut – a single piece of latex covers the palm, wrist and backhand. The glove’s blue sheath is a HIGH2OUT actively breathing wind and water resistant membrane designed to maintain correct hand temperature.
