"Why today is Christmas Day sir!" "No it aint, it's January 10th you lyin' little bleeder, now sling yer hook!"

Is how the arse end of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol might have gone had it:

a) Not been set on Christmas Day.
b) Ebeneezer Scrooge had read his downloaded Footy-Mad sporting year calendar completely wrong!
and
3) The author hadn't gone for the Hollywood ending!

Anyway, had he read it right he'd know that today was meant to be Carling Cup semi-finals day but because the tin mine was fogged over they've been postponed til next week.

With the shite being the bane of our frickin lives this means that the Spurs game, due for January 31st has now been postponed, as has our post match piss up in the tent (it's never a marquee that!) and then, later, in town!

Why does everything they do affect us in some way?!

Anyway, want to know when the American Football Wild Card Play-off weekend is?

Or how about basketball's NBA All-star weekend?

No? Thought not!

But, you must want to know when England's thoroughly inept cricketers are finally going to leave Australia?

Well, the bad news for them is that they've only got to endure another month down under then it's back to the reality of the British winter for those boys!

Oh sorry, no it's not, because they frig off to the West Indies then for the start the Cricket World Cup on March 13th!

Cricketers actually do my head in nearly as much as footballers!

Anyway, the upshot of this, frankly shoddy, ramble is that you can download the Footy-Mad 2007 sporting calendar in all it's pdf format glory if you follow this link...
