Ins and outs

Today's Daily Mirror, ever the reliable oracle for football tittle tattle, is speculating that David Moyes is ready to listen to offers for the young striker as he paves the way for Jermaine Beckford to become an Everton player.

Which would be a real shame if it's true as James Vaughan is a player that - and I know it's a cliché - every Evertonian is desperate to see do well.

He has always looked like he could be a great player at Everton as he has pace, strength, aggression and he can finish, but he's had a run of injuries that a whole team of players would count themselves unlucky to have suffered!

So hopefully that's one rumour that's not true!

It looks like Sheffield United are about to let us be gazumped again - worked out well for Kyle Naughton didn't it?! - as Sunderland are reported to have had a £1.5 million offer accepted for Matthew Kilgallon.

The player was all set to leave Bramall Lane for Goodison on a free in the summer so you can't really blame them for accepting Sunderland's offer.

But, if we consider him good enough why are we not prepared to match Sunderland's offer and let the player decide?

That's the Everton way I suppose!

Then there's the rumour that Everton want to take Hatem Ben Afra on loan from Marseille.

Apparently he doesn't get on with Didier Deschamps, the Marseille manager and sometime Derek Acorah stunt double -  and has failed to impress in any of his five starts this season.

But Marsielle are adamant that they are holding out for a big money bid for the player.

Expect to see him at Arsenal next season...

Don't bother following up the story though, it's rubbish!
