On the Hunt

The only substance to the story appears to be that we were allegedly after him last year and he has now stated that he would prefer a move away from Reading.

So two plus two and all that...

Anyway, the Irish winger, who always looks like he smells of tabs and carries a half bottle of Co-Op whiskey everywhere, is said to want a 'fresh start' away from Reading after they failed to win promotion to the Premier League.

Hunt said: "My own situation is that I am happy at Reading, but in terms of my future, I've been loyal to Reading, maybe a fresh start would be good for me and the club."

Which is basically one way of saying "Look, I'm off, I stayed for a season in the Championship so don't start making it awkward and giving me shit if I leave."

But the 27-year-old refused to be led on which club he would like a move to to, saying: "I think me and the club agree it's time for a fresh start. I don't know about that (Everton). I can't talk about other clubs."

Hunt would be a good addition to the squad, at the right price, as he plays out wide and has always been one of those nuisance players, a bit like Cahill, who you'd love if they were in your team but get on your tits if they're playing against you.

So it's a case of watch this space again...and Man City aren't after any of our players today so that's good news!

Stay classy St Domingo....
