One stop stopper shopping.

The Norwegian defender has apparently been on the verge of leaving Fulham all summer and, after Arsena's interest has cooled, Everton are the next most likely club he'll be joining.

All this in spite of the players' assertion that he doesn't want to leave and, the football manager most likely to have one of those massive slippers to put both feet in, Roy Hodgson's insistence that he doesn't want to sell.

Hangeland was solid for Fulham last season and a major factor in their clinching a European spot and, at 6'5", he would certainly add some much needed height to the Everton rearguard.

But, considering we've already been linked with, deep breath, Man City's Richard Dunne, Portsmouth's Sylvain Distin, Arsenal's Phillipe Senderos, Middlesbrough's David Wheater and Robert Huth and Ryan Shawcross of Stoke City, it's most likely just sports journoes coming up with an Everton story now they can't write about you know who and all that shite!

I'll believe it when he's signed!

And in other non-tansfer related news, Yakubu scored after 31 seconds of his comeback match against Burnley last night and is travelling to Olomouc with the rest of the squad.

Get in!
