...Simic snub

The Croatian international currently plays for AC Milan but he is understood to be frustrated by his lack of first team opportunties at the San Siro.

The Blues, apparently, made an unsuccessful bid for him last summer and have once again shown an interest during this close season.

But Simic's agent, Marco Naletilic, has told interested parties, namely Everton and Marseille, that the Italians do not want to part with defender.

Naletilic said: "The player has a contract with the Rossoneri until 2009."

He added: "The defender had some interesting offers from Everton and Marseille, but after a chat, Milan directors Ariedo Braida and Adriano Galliani decided that my client would not be sold."

Which means he'll be playing for the shite by the end of the week!
