Super Eagle to Owls

Owls' manager Brian Laws is looking to strengthen his attacking options after Wednesday scored just 51 goals in 46 games last season.

Even Francis 'fox-in-the-box' Jeffers could only muster three goals in a barren campaign for the Owls!

But it's thought that Wednesday will want to take Anichebe on a season long loan deal, something that the Blues will probably be unwilling to go along with as they will want to cash in on the player if they're going to lose him.

Which is probably a bit rich as Everton are the undisputed champions when it comes to setting up loan deals!

But, as they say, there's no sentiment in football, so Everton will probably hold out for a firm, cash-in-hand offer for the young Nigerian.

We don't want any of this 'buy-now-pay-in 2012' bollocks either, we do that to other clubs so just back off!

And what's with that saying anyway? 'There's no sentiment in football'.

What a crock of shit, of course there's sentiment in football!

What other social group - actually, football fans may even be a focus group nowadays - do you know that go that would go all misty-eyed for the 'good old days' when you risked a hiding at every game, got packed in the ground like tinned sardines and had to endure the sight of chain-smoking footballers knocking about in short shorts?!

The short shorts aside though, it was a lot better back then wasn't it?!
