I for one'll be gutted to see Shandy get the boot because, even though we've hardly seen him all season, he's looked class when he has played.
He finds time on the ball and can hit a hell of a cross in...mmm...isnt it?!

In other news, we're lining up a £6m bid for Andy Johnson...probably a year too late but he's still a good player (15 goals in the Championship last season) and can do a job on his own up front so will give us another option.
One of the daily rags has reported that Wigan are lining up a £5m offer for him though so it looks like we could have a bit of a fight on our hands. No doubt, upon hearing of Wigan's interest, Everton will drop the bid to £4m.
I also heard that we're going to table a £2m bid for Preston's David Nugent. By all accounts the lad is desperate to join us but the deal won't be sorted out
until he gets back off his jollies.
So expect him to bump into some gobshite from Newcastle...let's say, Scott Parker...when he sunning himself in Marbella and he'll be signed on with the barcodes by July!
In even more player related news, James McFadden has turned his nose up at a new contract that will double his current salary of £10k a week...do you reckon he did actually turn his nose up? And put his thumb on the end of it and wave his fingers? Probably not!
Word is we're gonna swap him for either Dado Prso or Chris Boyd of Rangers....well that's what i've been told!
