There's really not much more to say about this story as the truth will undoubtedly just ruin the headline but here goes...
From what I can gather, Everton are looking at signing Rod Fanni - no, really! stop laughing at the back - from French club Rennes as French media are quick to jump on the news that the Blues could be in for a right-back with the departure of Lucas Neill looking imminent.
Weirdly, when Lucas Neill left West Ham in the summer they had Fanni lined up as his replacement.
And there's also rumoured to be interest from Tottenham and Bordeaux for the 27-year-old defender.
So it looks like we're not the only ones with an interest in Fanni.
Of course, i garnered all this information from a French website so I could be miles as I don't speak French...which gives me another excuse to put this picture up, it's Roberts again...
