In fact, before the Arsenal game, Mikel Arteta, Tim Cahill, Lee Carsley, and Tim Howard were all suffering the effects of the virus whilst James Beattie and Simon Davies were just recovering.

Which makes the 1-1 draw at the Emirates seem like an even better result.

It says a lot for the team spirit that the players will pull together for each other and put in such a good, battling performance despite many of them feeling last!

And it says a lot for David Moyes as, despite many insisting that he is a curmudgeon, he clearly commands a great deal of respect from the players who will put in everything for him and the team.

I'm getting all choked up here…

In other Blues news, Moyes has played down speculation that he is about to make Tim Howard's loan move a permanent one.

Not quite sure why he's playing down the speculation as he has been
outstanding for us this season and has been as integral to the success of the team as Andy Johnson.

In addition, with Edwin van der Saar and
Tomasz Kuszczak taking up the two goalkeeping positions at Old Trafford and Ben Foster another ‘keeper out on loan, it seems that he could well be surplus to requirements.

But we'll just have to wait and see…
