The striker was one of the USA's outstanding players in Japan, and he has been courted by a number of clubs. David Moyes is a fan of the player, he had him on load for 18 months whilst 'boss at Preston NE. The Striker, who currently plays for MLS team Columbus Crew, caught the attention of Mr Royal early on.
"With all due respect, I think that Brian McBride is wasted at Columbus Crew." Said Royal in an interview "He's looked very lively at the World Cup. If somebody from a Premiership or First Division club decided to take a chance on him, I don't think he would let anybody down.
