Hibbert happy with milestone

The Huyton-born 30-year-old has played more than 260 times since making his debut in a 2-0 win at West Ham a decade ago, is the Toffees' longest-serving player, holds the record for European appearances and is the sole survivor of manager David Moyes' first match in charge.

But even after all that, the former Academy graduate is just grateful for the time he has had at Goodison Park.

"It's great to have been here this long. It has gone so quickly that you don't realise it's been 10 years," he told evertonfc.com.

"I have never wanted to leave and I am just grateful to the club for letting me stay all this time. It is my home.

"From day one, I've loved Everton - this is just the club where I've always wanted to be. But to be here for 10 years is a big number for me and I'm really grateful for that."
