Reports last weekend claimed the 20-year-old would be heading to Old Trafford in the summer.
Moyes said that was "rubbish" as the club wanted to hang on to their best players.
"I don't know where all the talk has come from of a deal being done with Manchester United because that is a load of rubbish, a complete untruth," he said.
"It is definitely not the case so if anyone wants to come in and disprove me they should do so.
"Stop telling people the wrong things in the media. The media have a responsibility to tell people the facts."
