Moyes reacts angrily to West Brom defeat

Following on from the humiliation at the hands of The Baggies, David Moyes has told his players, in public, that it simply isn't good enough.

He said: "I just can't accept the performance to be the way it was, It's always difficult when you lose, especially when you lose in the manner that we did. But we have to try and regroup and I hope the next time you see Everton, you will see a much better, much tougher side than the one at West Brom. Nearly every player lost their individual battle."

All fair comment, but Moyes has to take his share of the blame too, his use of substitues in that game was nothing short of idiotic.

The comments were echoed by Marcus Bent, who aplogised to the fans who had paid real money (not footballer's play money) to see the team show themselves up as they did.

"When the fans see stuff like at the weekend, then you can't blame them for booing or shouting one or two things. They've paid their money and come a long way to support us." Said Bent.

"We owe the fans a good performance next week, and we owe ourselves one too. We didn't do as well as we could."
