Moyes rules out big signings

Moyes said: "We will have to get by with the squad we have. I don't want to dampen expectation but it is unrealistic for us to be going out to buy a £10m player. That's not going to happen here at the moment, we are going to have to go through the season with what we have. "

"The financial situation has not changed from the start of the season. I spent what we had wisely in the summer and we are under no illusions now."

Whilst noone is expecting big signings, and certainly not big fees, i would not be at all surprised if Moyes and Kenwright did one or two loan style deals in the new year, similar to the one that has brought us Joseph Yobo for only £1m.

Also, it is known that Moyes wants a tall striker to provide cover for Kevin Campbell.
